Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 18, 2026

The short version

Your scripts stay on your device. We do not read them, upload them, or share them. We collect anonymous analytics (app usage, crashes) to improve LensCue. We do not serve ads. We do not sell data. That is the full picture — the rest of this page provides the legal detail.

Who we are

LensCue is developed and published by BridgeSync, a company registered in the Netherlands. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it refers to BridgeSync as the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

We believe in collecting the minimum data necessary to run and improve LensCue. Here is exactly what we collect, and what we do not.

Data Collected? Stored where Purpose
Your scripts and text No Your device Scripts never leave your device. We cannot see, access, or recover them.
Video and audio No LensCue does not record video or audio. Your camera app does that separately.
Name, email, or account No LensCue does not require an account and does not collect personal identity information.
Anonymous usage analytics Yes Google servers We track which features are used, how often, and where users encounter friction — to improve the app.
Crash reports Yes Google servers When the app crashes, a technical report is sent so we can identify and fix the problem.
Purchase history Yes Google servers Google Play processes payments. We receive a purchase token to verify your Pro status. We do not see your payment method.
Device information Yes Google servers Device model, Android version, and screen size — included in analytics and crash reports to diagnose device-specific issues.
Advertising ID No We do not collect your advertising identifier. We do not serve ads.
Location No We do not request or access your location. Country-level data may be inferred by Google Analytics from IP address (anonymised).

Third-party services

LensCue uses the following third-party services that process data on our behalf:

Google Firebase Analytics

Collects anonymous usage data: which screens are viewed, which features are used, session duration, and general engagement patterns. Data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. IP addresses are anonymised in the EU.

Firebase Privacy Information →

Google Firebase Crashlytics

Collects crash logs when the app encounters an error. These include technical stack traces, device model, OS version, and app state at the time of the crash. Crash reports do not contain your scripts, personal data, or any user-generated content.

Crashlytics Terms →

Google Play Billing

Handles all payment processing for subscriptions and one-time purchases. We receive a purchase verification token from Google but do not have access to your credit card number, bank account, or other payment details. Google's payment terms apply.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, we process data on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — for anonymous analytics that help us improve the app. We have assessed that this processing is proportionate and does not override your rights, given the data is anonymous and non-intrusive.
  • Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) — for processing purchase tokens to deliver the Pro features you paid for.
  • Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — for crash reports that enable us to maintain app stability and fix bugs.

Data retention

  • Analytics data: retained by Google Firebase for 14 months, then automatically deleted.
  • Crash reports: retained by Google Firebase for 90 days.
  • Purchase records: retained by Google for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting law.
  • Your scripts: stored only on your device. If you uninstall LensCue, your scripts are deleted with the app unless you have backed them up yourself.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, and applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any data we hold about you.
  • Deletion — request that we delete any data associated with your device.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

Because we do not require an account and our analytics are anonymous, it may not be possible to identify your specific data in our systems. If you contact us, we will do our best to address your request, and we will explain honestly if we cannot.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Data deletion

You can request deletion of any data associated with your use of LensCue by contacting us at the email address below. We will process your request within 30 days.

You can also reset your analytics identifier at any time by going to your device's Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID, or by reinstalling the app. This severs the link between your future usage data and any previously collected analytics.

Subscriptions and purchases

  • Subscriptions are processed and billed by Google Play. We do not handle payments directly.
  • Free trials convert automatically unless cancelled before the trial period ends.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play → Subscriptions. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy.
  • Founder's Lifetime purchases are permanent and non-refundable after the standard Google Play refund window.

Children's privacy

LensCue is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Permissions explained

LensCue requests the following Android permissions:

  • Display over other apps — required for Float Mode, which shows your script as an overlay on top of other apps like your camera, TikTok, or Instagram. This is the core feature of LensCue. We do not use this permission to display ads or any other content.
  • Do Not Disturb access (Pro) — allows LensCue to automatically silence notifications while you are recording, and restore your settings afterwards. This is opt-in and can be disabled at any time.
  • Internet — used to send anonymous analytics and crash reports, verify purchase status with Google Play, and check for app updates. LensCue works offline for all core functionality.

Security

All data transmitted between LensCue and third-party services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Your scripts are stored locally on your device and protected by your device's own security (lock screen, encryption). We do not operate our own servers — all cloud processing runs through Google's infrastructure, which is certified under ISO 27001, SOC 2, and SOC 3.

International data transfers

Analytics and crash data processed by Google Firebase may be transferred to and stored on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google operates under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and maintains Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
